It was a beautiful day for a hike. Nice and warm no wind. The dogs and I needed to get out and go for a hike. Planning to be out for about an hour, we explored for a bit over 2 hours, and came home tired but happy. I knew that there would be nobody else up on this plateau and I was right. It was just my 2 germies, me, and a local coyote. Who was curious but stayed a respectful distance. I kept the germies close at the sighting.
I know that this time of year there is not a lot of color or even wild flowers to photograph, but the mountains were bright white and if I found something else I win.
I photographed Mt Jefferson which is the hardest for me to get a good photograph I am happy with. I photographed Mt 3 finger Jack which is probably one of my favorites to photograph. I photographed the 3 sisters and Broken top. Most of the photos will probably end up in the trash some will be played with and maybe converted to Black and White. It wasn’t so much about the photographs but getting out and exploring.

After spotting the coyote I decided it was time to head back to the car. Hiking south along the canyon rim, I came to a spot that would allow us to go down into the canyon and the well worn trail back to the car. Heading down I spotted some flowers. Score… I had seen them along this stretch of the canyon wall a couple years ago in March. The First wild flowers of Spring. the Sagebrush Buttercup Ranunculus Glaberrimus
