The day dawned bright and sunny the temps were quite moderate. A good day to work in the yard. I found this cute little yellow Viola blooming in a sunny spot. Later I found the Johnny Jump up Viola. Down goes the gardening tools and out comes the camera equipment.

I finally got the Tele-extender for my macro lens to work with my camera and these are the results. My biggest problem was the young German Shepherd that thought she should help while I was trying to get the photos.
I figure after such a nice day Mother Nature will reward us with snow sleet, wind, and rain. But for now I got the photos.

For those of you who are not having a sunny warm day, I have the perfect notecard. Just for those who love gardening even if the season is too early.
Great time of the year to scan through all the gardening catalogs, don’t you think? The first brave flowers to come up must be a sign that spring is not far away. Was a lovely day today. Might be a good time to just sit on the deck and write a note to a friend to cheer them up and let them know that spring is coming.
