I found this old camping percolator coffee pot in a thrift store a couple weeks ago and fell in love with it. It hasn’t been cleaned in quite a while and I love it’s character. This is the coffee pot that would have been used for camping trips and I remember having one years ago.
As I sit on my back deck and enjoy the early day, I have been looking at the few flowers that have bloomed well this summer, and those flowers which finally decided to bloom. I could see the Honeysuckle, the Black-Eyed Susans, the purple Hyssop, the purple salvia with this coffee pot…. but first I had to get started. I collected the flowers I wanted, grabbed the camera, a cup of coffee and went out to play, Came back in grabbed the trolls and coffee beans, things are getting more involved…. As my ideas usually do…. I spent all morning photographing starting with the basic coffee pot and building…. with the trolls help
at least for a few minutes….

Tried to add fire without actually playing with fire.
Then started adding the flowers I envisioned when I started this photo journey.
and still when I processed them decided to try something different by making it black and white.
Adding the next flower in the process.
With Lime and Pinx who love flowers and a good photo shoot.
Finally…..
Finishing the shoot with what I envisioned while sitting on the back deck thinking about…. Well … ” What if I…? and “How could I use…?”
Now I have another idea with this old camping coffee percolator that I need to go photograph…. because I like it….
